Grand Opening of The Colony Firehouse No. 5

The Colony City Council and Fire Department leadership celebrated the official grand opening and open house of Firehouse No. 5 the morning of May 13, 2023, in The Tribute. Mayor Richard Boyer, Fire Chief Scott Thompson, Assistant Chief Shannon Stephens and Senior Vice President with Matthews Southwest, Kristian Teleki, spoke to the large crowd in attendance about this important milestone in the city’s development. City officials conducted the ceremonial hose uncoupling before allowing children from the community to help wash down and “push in” Engine 15.
