Soar Into Spring at the Annual “Up, Up & Away! Festival of Flight” Event

Free Family Event Takes Place Saturday, May 3 at The Tribute

The sky’s the limit at this year’s “Up, Up & Away! Festival of Flight,” taking place Saturday, May 3 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Prestwick Elementary School (3101 Stonefield, The Colony) in The Tribute Lakeside Golf & Resort Community. Co-hosted annually by The City of The Colony and The Tribute, this exciting, family-friendly festival celebrates all things airborne—kites, birds, rockets, and more!

New for 2025, thrill-seekers will be awed by live skydivers, landing in the field right next to the school—a can’t-miss highlight of the day!

Festivalgoers can enjoy:

• Kite flying fun – bring your own or purchase one on-site
• Live show and birds of prey demonstrations from Window to the Wild
• Interactive exhibits from the Frontiers of Flight Museum
• Euro Bungee, space shuttle obstacle course, face painting, and a clear climbing wall
• Over a dozen vendor activities, giveaways, and a hands-on craft project

The main stage will feature live music, dance performances, and educational showcases throughout the afternoon.

A variety of food trucks will be on site, offering snacks and refreshments for all tastes. With so much to see and do, it’s the perfect way to spend a spring afternoon with the whole family.
