The Colony Prepares for Population Boom on City’s Northern Peninsula

Jack Matthews, president of Matthews Southwest, stands near land to be developed in the coming years. The company intends to expand the number of homes in The Tribute upscale residential community.

While development in The Colony is most visible on its southern edge near Sam Rayburn Tollway, the city is preparing years in advance for expected population growth on the opposite end: the Wynnwood peninsula.

Set apart geographically from the heart of the city, the Wynnwood area is home to The Tribute residential community, two of the city’s three golf courses, and room for residential and commercial growth near the shores of Lewisville Lake.  READ MORE >
