The Tribute Marina & Park Groundbreaking Celebrates the Launch of a New Era of Lakeside Living in The Colony

Representatives from Matthews, developer of The Tribute, Suntex Marinas, and the City of The Colony gathered on December 11, 2024, to commemorate the groundbreaking of The Tribute Marina & Park. Located within The Tribute Lakeside Golf & Resort Community, this project will allow the community to have a direct connection with the beauty and recreational opportunities of Lewisville Lake.

Attendees witnessed the ceremonial “shovels in the ground,” marking the official groundbreaking of this exceptional project. The Tribute Marina & Park will include 801 boat slips, a floating marina structure with retail and food options, boat rentals, sand volleyball courts, and a multi-use park. 

Attendees included Kristian Teleki, senior vice president at Matthews; Bryan Redmond, CEO of Suntex Marinas; and City of The Colony officials. Remarks included an introduction and history from Matthews project manager Mary Day along with The Colony Community Services Director Jackie Kopsa, The Colony Mayor Richard Boyer,  Matthews CFO Adam Miller, and Pam Nelson and Kathy Cunningham who were instrumental in the project.

We are thrilled to see this vision come to life, enhancing access to Lewisville Lake’s beauty and opportunities for all our residents.”

The Tribute Marina & Park is a collaborative effort between Matthews and Suntex Marinas to enhance the community’s access to premier outdoor amenities. Located at the intersection of Bridge Lane and Castlebridge in The Colony, The Tribute Marina & Park will serve as a central hub for outdoor activities, fostering a deeper connection between the community and the serene backdrop of Lewisville Lake.
